The Basement

The Basement was a pub where we spent a lot of time over the two years it was open (late 2000- early 2003). It has now closed down and been put up for sale. It is the end of an era for everyone who went there regularly (most of whom were my mates). That pub was important to all of us because, not only did we get to know the bar staff and get free drinks (sometimes), but it was where we went to see the local bands play, it is where we made loads of new friends and most important of all, it's where Danny from Surge lost his virginity and where we all discovered the wonders of the pub. I thought that this was such an important part of my life and all of my mates lives that I decided to make a full page dedicated to the Basement. R.I.P.
